1 April 2017 – UBU working with local community in public realm design for Carters Quay, Poole

This weekend residents in Poole visited the glorious RNLI building to view proposals for the new Inland Homes waterside housing development designed by John Pardey Associates, for which UBU have been commissioned to design the ‘wrap around’ public realm and communal gardens. Mark Johnson, Director at UBU Design, facilitated landscape discussions with community members gathering their views and local knowledge, which will help inform the design of the public realm. Recalling the day Mark said “it was great turnout and the community were really engaged, particularly with the proposals to incorporate the history of Carters Tiles and Poole Pottery into the landscape design. The opportunities for creating a fantastic public realm here are tremendous and it is a really exciting project”.
