2 November 2017 – The Power of Green Space breakfast seminar

Mark Johnson, Ubu’s director, was delighted to be guest speaker at Eight Associates ‘The power of Green Space’ breakfast seminar this morning, at Eight’s office in Great Suffolk Street, London. The well attended seminar explored the social, economic and environmental value of using green spaces within and around buildings and public spaces, and Mark provided a case study of  Ubu scheme Rushden Lakes near Northampton, covering the retail, natural and wildlife spaces of the site. There followed a lively and informed discussion around the multiple health and well being  benefits of green spaces, and the application of various options including SUDS, biodiversity and green roofs.
