22 October 2019 – Cleeve Meadow School

Construction work by GallifordTry Construction is progressing well on the new Cleeve Meadow School in Sidcup, Kent . This new free SEN school has been designed by Pozzoni Architecture to provide specialist education for 120 pupils aged 11-19 with moderate learning difficulties and autism.

Cleeve Meadow school will have 12 teaching rooms, a therapeutic hub, large open plan library and IT space. Facilities will also include a specialist music department, performing arts centre and a full-sized artificial football pitch that will also be available for Cleeve Park School pupils to use. Outside of school hours, the facilities will be available for community use.

Built within the grounds of Cleeve Park School, Bexley Lane, the Ubu design landscape carefully knits the new school into the existing school site, to provide new hard play facilities with an external classroom, grass pitches, a growing area and habitat zone. In the broader school grounds additional parking has been provided.

The building work is scheduled to be complete by Spring 2020.
