5 October 2017 – Regeneration of former Battery Works site into much anticipated Selly Oak Shopping Park

Following on from the successful delivery of Rushden Lakes retail and leisure development, UBU are thrilled to have been appointed to deliver the externals for the brand new 17 acre Selly Oak Shopping Park in South Birmingham. Anchored by a large Sainsbury’s, and to include a mix of retailers and eateries, as well as a brand new 418 room student halls development, the scheme involves the major redevelopment of an industrial site, that during both World Wars was used as an ammunitions factory.

Working with the main contractor Interserve, Ubu Design are part of the team to take forward this fast paced project, which will see first retail units open to the public in 2018.
