Les Beaucamps

Our work on Les Beaucamps High School led to the development of a sophisticated landscape with a dynamic response to spatial usage, allowing a variety of activities and movement flows to interrelate.

The pivotal all weather pitch knits together the two main built volumes of the school. The pitch fencing is integrated into the impressive canopy structure linking the two buildings, also functioning as a planted green curtain to mitigate the visual impact of the new sport facilities. A cloistered central courtyard to the school building creates a lively and engaging space, accessed from and overlooked by active terraces.

A multifunctional flight of steps to the student entrance provides dramatic views to the sea, an informal seating area and ramped access to the sports pitches.
