Phoenix Park

Phoenix Park forms a large open space with associated play area and football pitches. Ubu was appointed to rejuvenate the fabric of the park and provide a cohesive masterplan for future improvements. Comprehensive consultation with local residents was undertaken and employed to create a locally distinctive layout that met residents’ aspirations.

The improvements encompass a range of new activities including bespoke skate facilities and a new MUGA (Multi Use Games Area). Edible planting and an orchard feature prominently in the design, an important step towards reducing food miles and creating more sustainable communities.
