15 July 2025 – Sea View Place receives Planning Permission

Sea View Place, the purpose-built student accommodation scheme in central Southampton, has just received planning permission.

Designed by Boyle & Summers Architects, in collaboration with Cavendish & Gloucester, the project will deliver 170 high-quality student rooms with a strong focus on wellbeing, inclusivity, and placemaking.

Extensive consultation shaped the final design, from community feedback to sensitive integration with the Station Quarter and Fourposts Hill. The scheme includes inclusive layouts designed with neurodiversity in mind, along with quiet zones, study rooms, multimedia areas and social spaces.

UBU have provided the landscape design for the outdoor landscaped spaces.

Positioned near Southampton Central Station, Sea View Place will form a welcoming gateway to the city, and will be one of the first impressions visitors will received when arriving in to the city by rail and sea.
