17 November 2020 – Construction starts on site for Hanborough School extension
Work has now started on site at Hanborough Manor School in Long Hanborough, Oxford on a new state-of-the-art £3 million extension and refurbishment.
Ubu have provided the landscape design for the project, with Collado Collins as the Architect and the build is being carried out by Morgan Sindall Construction. It has been commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council following the announcement of 339 new homes planned for Long Hanborough.
The project is set to expand the school from 210 to a maximum of 315 pupils aged 4-11. To expand, the school has acquired additional land to relocate the school’s hard play provision, facilitating the construction of the new teaching block on the existing hard play area, and creating additional playing field space.
The brief also includes the installation of a new MUGA (multi-use games area) as well as a Sports England pitch for outdoor activities.
The project is scheduled to complete in time for the next academic year in 2021.
