22 April 2020 – Tower Hamlets receives Planning Permission

Ubu Design are pleased to have been part of the team working with ArchitecturePLB on the planning submission to Tower Hamlets Council.

The landscape proposals provide a setting for the refurbishment and conversion of a former workhouse building and new apartment building, helping unify these elements.

The proposals developed will create a dynamic and multi-layered landscape for residents, incorporating new garden and courtyard spaces and play areas, together with a series of rain gardens. The hard surfacing responds to the existing and proposed architecture and is softened with a planting palette design to maximise biodiversity.
