16 May 2019 -#Better Air Letters
After a long process of trying to find a location, we have finally located our planted letter installation in Tabard Street Borough, London.
The idea of the letter was developed as part of a mini design competition which we entered with Eight Associates and Paul Wiggley, and won. The letters are constructed out of a frame with a mesh covering and then lined with moss filled with growing media and planted with a broad variety of both ornamental plans and herbs.
Whilst contributing in their own small way to carbon capture, the letters are intended to help raise awareness and signpost the public to the initiative by Better Bankside and the Borough High Street Low Emissions Neighbourhood to “improve local air quality through a range of innovative and engaging urban realm and community engagement programmes.”
This is a small but important contribution to improving awareness and air quality in the capital.
