Associate Director

Claire Hunt joined UBU in September 2024 as an Associate Director, heading up our new Birmingham office.

Claire is a chartered landscape architect with 18 years of experience. She began her journey by studying garden design and later enhanced her horticultural expertise through a year of study at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Following this, she spent 15 years with one of the UK’s leading architectural firms, where she completed her qualifications as a landscape architect.

Claire specialises in the education, healthcare, and public realm sectors, with a strong focus on health and well-being in every project. She is deeply committed to the belief that daily contact with nature is essential for healthy bodies and minds. 

With her extensive background, Claire expertly navigates clients through the entire design process, from initial sketches to project completion, ensuring that each development is executed to the highest standards.

Claire joins us after a sabbatical in Mexico City, where she collaborated with lighting designers to explore themes of female safety in public spaces and the role of urban design in addressing these issues.
