Jupiter Community Free School

Jupiter Community Free School is a new £4.1 million development on the site of a former primary school. Part of the Hertfordshire Primary Expansion Programme (PEP 3), Ubu worked closely with ArchitecturePLB and Balfour Beatty to develop a strong educational design strategy and spatial plan that includes good circulation and areas for external classrooms. Playgrounds that include a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and play spaces on two levels were also incorporated into the design. Due to the sensitive location particular focus was given to mitigating the impact of the development on the adjoining listed building.
