Lyngford House, Taunton

Working with Platinum Skies, a specialist retirement developer, we have developed a detailed proposal for Lyngford House, a Grade II Listed Building in Taunton, Somerset.

The redevelopment of the site includes the conversion of Lyngford House and the associated historic cottages, Coach House and Stable. The proposed development and conversion of the existing buildings will provide a total of 36 assisted houses, lodges and cottages, all with private gardens and 9 apartments.

The landscape strategy has been developed to create a coherent design approach to the public spaces and circulation. This delivers a strong framework within which the architecture is set, maximising open space and providing an attractive development centred around the Listed house.

The existing trees and landscape features, as well as an on-site badger sett, have been protected and incorporated into the landscape design to create a mature and evolved landscape character which enhances the setting from the outset.
