13 May 2019 -Syrencot House

We are nearing completion on the development of Syrencot house, a Grade II listed building on the banks of the Avon.  The house will be transformed from a private country house in to a modern country wedding venue with new ceremony and reception buildings within the grounds.  At the heart of the new venue is the redevelopment of the enchanting walled garden with the existing chalk walls being retained and the formal path network embellished with a rich diversity of planting.  Additionally a vegetable patch and orchard have been incorporated to hark back to the former use of this space. The design delivers an integrated network of paths to deliver the bride and guests from the main house to the new glass ceremony building then onto the new large airy reception building. The restored Pump House in the walled garden has been repurposed as an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and wood-fired pizza oven, delivering  alfresco dining.
