19 April 2023 – 37-39 Salisbury Road receives planning

This affordable housing scheme for New Forest District Council will consist of two buildings with a mix of one- and two-bedroom flats. Block A will include 5 two-bedroom apartments and 7 one-bedroom flats, while Block B will have 8 one-bedroom flats.

Ubu will be providing the landscape design for this project with ArchitecturePLB as the architects.

The project is a sustainable and timely response to the growing need for affordable housing in Totton. The zero-parking proposals will feature a highly sustainable scheme designed to meet the 2025 Future Homes Standards. The site’s location within the town centre boundary called for a balance between residential and non-residential components. The result is a contextual and sympathetic design, using robust, long-lasting materials that will significantly enhance the currently derelict site.
