28 August 2026 – Alkerden C of E Academy Now Complete

UBU is delighted to see Alkerden C of E Academy in Ebbsfleet Garden City completed and ready to welcome its pupils.

UBU has provided landscape design services for the project, having first become involved in the wider Alkerden Education Campus following planning approval in 2021.

Part of the major Ebbsfleet Garden City development, the education campus was designed to provide much-needed new educational facilities alongside the thousands of new homes being delivered in the area.

UBU’s landscape proposals have helped to create an attractive and functional setting for the new school, with careful consideration given to the site’s sloping landscape, access and circulation, play and external spaces, and the use of planting, materials and level changes to create a strong sense of place.

With construction now complete, the new planting will continue to establish and mature, further enhancing the landscape and setting of the school.

It has been a great project for UBU to be involved with from the earlier stages through to completion, working alongside GRAHAM, Lee Evans Partnership, HTS Engineering Group, Flatley Construction and the wider project team.

UBU looks forward to seeing the landscape develop as the school becomes established and pupils begin to make use of their new surroundings.
