3 June 2026 – Bransbury Park Leisure Centre progressing on site
UBU Design is pleased to see construction progressing on the new Bransbury Park Leisure Centre in Portsmouth, where the team provided landscape design services for the development.
The project, being delivered by Willmott Dixon on behalf of Portsmouth City Council, will create a modern community hub designed to promote health, wellbeing and active lifestyles across the city. The new facility will include a 25-metre swimming pool, learner pool, gym, fitness studios and a new GP surgery, bringing together leisure and healthcare services in a single location.
Alongside the new building, the wider scheme will deliver improved outdoor sports and recreational facilities, enhanced public spaces, a new playground and extensive landscaping to create an attractive and welcoming environment for visitors. More than 50 new trees are also planned across the site and wider park area, helping to enhance biodiversity and strengthen the park’s landscape character.
UBU Design was responsible for the landscape design, helping to shape the external environment and ensure the new facility integrates successfully within Bransbury Park while creating high-quality spaces for the local community to enjoy.
Seeing the project progress from concept and design through to construction is always rewarding, and we look forward to watching the project continue to take shape.
